Pappardelle for a Birthday

Last night I made pappardelle with a mushroom ragu based on this recipe, I only used portobellos and dried shiitakes because we went to ShopRite (lame) and that's all they had. It was very good although a tad bitter but I think if I had used more mushrooms it would have been more balanced. For dessert I made the buttery apple cake tart again. Yum yum yum ! If only we had eaten earlier than 10:30pm ooops bad plannning, oh well. Happy Birthday Adrienne !
