Fall Finals Dinner
I like to go out after finals every semester as a celebration (plus I love to dress up) so this year I told my boyfriend David to pick a place and surprise me. We went to Postiano Coast a place with small plates and crudo (which according to the web is raw fish dish dressed with olive oil, sea salt, and citrus juice such as lemon juice and sometimes vinegar ). We started off with stuffed rigatoni because David saw it online and wanted it, it was very good, you could individually take the pieces of pasta and drag them in the pesto sauce before eating. I decided to try an oyster, I picked the one which our waiter said was a bit sweeter and yes I only ordered one because I wasn't sure how it would taste. It came with a side of citrus vinegar mixture and a lemon which I poured/squeezed overtop and then slurped it up. It really wasn't that bad, not something I want to pay so much money for but it didn't make me wanna vomit. On that note for our entrees we ordered the Sea Urchin Pasta and New York Steak Bolognese. Mine was the Bolognese and it was delicious, they cooked the meat well and the sauce was amazing to put overtop, and the "small plate" portion was perfect for me. David's pasta was also good but you tasted the crab and general seafood flavor more then the sea urchin. There were only very small pieces of the sea urchin but the pasta was handmade, delicate, and delicious!
