We had two house Antipasti platters with two types of hard cheese (a version of pecorino romano, the Grand Cru and a Fontinella), prosciutto, capicolla, sopresatta, olives, sundried sweet peppers, and mozzarella stuffed with prosciutto. My friend Katie had the Da Vinci sandwich which was filled with Salami, sopressata, fresh handmade mozzarella, sun-dried red peppers, roasted red peppers, and EVOO and was, I think, the best thing on the table. I had the potato gnocchi which was not as tender as I would have liked it to be and was served with a big gob of fresh ricotta, delicious, but I believe it should have been mixed in with the sauce. We also had a platter with fresh mozz and tomatoes and this mozzarella was even softer than the one stuffed with prosciutto on the antipasti platter. My sister in law and I finished with Italian wedding cookies, which really needed coffee because it was so dry (the server should have warned me) but I ate it anyway. Not a bad place to go and priced fairly for lunch. We also had the added bonus of the cheese monger coming over to talk to us about the Grand Cru cheese in explicit detail because they had run out and one of our friends wanted to purchase some. I may have found my new dream job....
