TWD: DC Honey Blue Cheese Madelines

We headed to a friend’s dog’s birthday brunch two weekends ago for brunch and I thought it was the perfect occasion for these little beauties. I prefer my madelines right out of the oven so I mixed the batter and chilled it and brought it to my friend’s house to bake. I overfilled them a little because I didn’t want to have to do a second round (although I probably could have made another 1 or 2). I used Buckwheat honey so I think mine turned out a little darker than they were supposed to and I used gorgonzola since the grocery store didn’t have any nice blue. They were the perfect amount of sweet and savory and tasted fine on their own (I was worried they’d need jam). Everyone was impressed and Koda had a wonderful 6th birthday!
